Well CNY is almost over (or maybe it is over, I forgot how many days the celebration lasts) but Valentine’s Day is almost here. I’ll be making the lasagna and the cake earlier so I don’t have to fuss over it after work on Thursday. A little nervous as I haven’t really cooked for Al’s family but meh, if they don’t like it, it’s even better. That means I won’t have to cook for them…again. :3
Anyways, a few interesting thing had happened since the start of February. First, I got my new glasses! It’s a chocolate brown, metallic frame glasses with little sparkle thingies on the side. I’ll post some photos later (forgot to take one from the side to show the sparkle thingies). I look geeky in them but it’s a nice change from my red metallic one and the colour matches my suit.
The other interesting thing is that I’m engaged! I wanted to hold off on writing about it because I want to make sure my family & my grandparents knows about it first. So over the new year celebration, I’ve told my grandparents on my dad’s side and my grandma in HK (mom’s side). Now I can finally say it here! The parents (Al’s and mine) haven’t official met yet so still keeping it semi hush hush till that happens. I’ll write more about the engagement and wedding planning in a following post.
Finally, I think I might have found make up that I can actually wear on a more “regular” basis. I don’t know about other females but once I got engaged the first thing that came to mind was “oh noes, I gotta wear make up on the wedding day and for the photo shoot.” For someone who doesn’t wear any make up regularly (I can’t say I don’t own any now since I bought a lip gloss and eye shadow for my friend’s wedding last year =__=), the thought of having to cover my face in layers of chemicals just seems…wrong. I have a weird skin type. It’s sensitive with dry and oily areas so it’s hard for me to even find the right moisturizer. I’m going to explore a bit more about this make up line that I found. If I can get away with it, I’m going to wear as little make up as possible. I want my face to breath. >___<
