Granville Island Adventure [Part 2]
by Jan on April 3, 2008
Aside from the yummy baked goods and tea, we have found another gem at Granville Island and that’s the Artisan Sake Maker. The sake is handcrafted right there at their studio. After taste testing all of their sake ($5 for 3 tastings) we’ve brought home 4 different ones so far. I find the sake from Artisan Sake Maker much smoother than the ones I’ve gotten at the liquor stores.
Ok for those of you (<3 Kaya) who’ve been waiting to see those silly hat photos that I’ve mentioned. Here they are! But first, let me tell you the little story behind all this. The twins and I were going to the paper store at The Netloft when we passed by Edie Hats. the store was packed so we went into see what’s going on (I mean, it’s only hats right?).
As you can see, it’s clearly not just your normal hats. The place is filled with hats. There were many people with cameras, taking pictures of themselves with their friends wearing anything they can get their hands on. The store is pretty dark and my camera person got super shaky hands so some of the pictures didn’t turn out too well. One of these days we all gotta go there and have a fun afternoon trying hats on! You might think it’s weird but trust me, when everyone around you is doing the same thing, it’s not so weird after all. Alright, on with the hat pictures:
This one is actually pink. I think it looks kinda cute on me.
There was this light directly over my head so you can’t see the colour on this one.
LOL. I’m sure you’re laughing too! What I wonder is…am I wearing this the right way? I think I got the front and the back mixed up…
Jannington? LOL I feel like Paddington with his hat, rain coat and boots. I actually like this hat.
Alright here are a couple of normal hat pictures.
See, there’s someone trying on hats right behind me!
Ok that concludes the Granville Island trip. I can’t wait to go again!
