Jan sighted at the gym
by Jan on April 25, 2008
So last week I went to the gym to get an orientation on how to use the machines. The trainer (or staff as they call him) was nice enough to work out a routine for me and Al. I told him I wanted to shape up since I’ve been a chair potato after I graduated from university. Plus I mentioned that I’m getting married next year. Once he heard that he was grinning, “Oh you’re one of those…” So I guess I’ve just joined the many other “must get fit and slim down” bride to be.
The routine is pretty simple and short. It’s mainly to tone up and get my body back into the exercise mode. Even thought it’s short (about 35-45 minutes), it targets every part of my body. My worse enemy is the abs exercises. I swear I’m not built to do them! However, I’ve been a good girl and actually finish all my sets every time (and I even do them at home sometimes). Al and I are planning to hit the gym 3 times a week. He’s hoping to bulk up a bit. It’d be interesting to see how far he can get since he’s like skin and bones now.
My fitness plan must have inspired my family as my mom and Dave are starting to work out at home. Dave got one of those fitness ball so I’ll be “borrowing” it when he’s not around. I had taken Al’s set of weights like five years ago and had dug them out from my room so mom and Dave could use them. They aren’t too heavy, like 5lbs & 10lbs each only so probably won’t do very much for Dave.
On a side note, RS had spoken to me about her business idea. I think it’s interesting but not sure if it’d work as it didn’t sound unique enough where people would be like “omg I must get it”. I still have to email her regarding my decision on whether or not I’d like to join her in this project.
Speaking to RS had sparked another crazy idea in my brain. No I haven’t experimented enough to make a brownie store that sells 10 different kinds of brownies (which I’ll call it Brown Bag Brownies! j/k). I’m still working out on the details of the project so I don’t have much to report yet. You’ll probably hear about it in a week or two.
To Kaya: hope you’re doing well hon <3
To James: sorry I keep falling asleep on you during skype >_< and thanks for listening to my rants!
PS: for those that know about my skin disease, I just want to update you that it’s starting to heal! yay! The rashes are slowly turning…brown…so I think it’s healing. Although, brown isn’t all that much better than red. Hopefully they’ll be gone by the time the weddings hit in May. Tomorrow I’ll be doing a full check up and reviewing my blood test from last weekend. Will update later.
