Trip Planning to Portland – Take 1
Last Friday, Nelson came over to the twins’ place so we can plan a trip down to Portland, OR for the first week of August. I haven’t been to Portland for a long time and I’d love to visit the Oregan coast (never been there).
After lots of Google mapping and about 20 tabs in the browser, the trip is starting to piece itself together. Here’s our super rough itinerary:
Saturday
- Arrive in Seattle around noon
- Discovery park for photo opt
- Downtown
- Check out the office
Sunday
- Museum of Flight
- Canoeing on Lake Washington
- Coffee at Zoka
- Walk around green lake
Monday
- Drive to Portland
- Pearl District/Downtown
- Bus around town
Tuesday
- Shopping/Winery/Local Brewery
- Premium Outlets?
- Parks?
Wednesday
- Drive through Salem to Lincoln City
- *need to find something to do*
Thursday
- Head to Astoria
- Ad-hoc tourism
- Stay in Long Beach or Astoria
Friday
- Zoom zoom to Vancouver

This week had been pretty slow at work which is nice because the weekend will be super busy. My relatives from HK are here for a family reunion. We’ll be having a huge dinner on Friday. Dad’s planning on announcing my engagement there (although all of them know by now). Then Saturday I’m going in to HN Wedding to do a fitting for dresses that I’ll use for the photoshoot on July 24th. Sunday the kids (my 2 cousins, Dave and I) are treating everyone to brunch at Glowbal Satay Bar & Grill. Review on the restaurant will follow next week probably.
Hey, don’t forget that lunch is on me if you happen to make it down this far when you’re visiting the states.
