Harrison Hot Spring
by Jan on December 22, 2008
A couple weeks ago Al gave me a “surprise” Christmas present by taking me to Harrison Hot Spring. We had talked about going there in the summer but ended up going to Portland instead. I’ve never stayed at the Harrison Hot Spring Resort so I was very excited about the trip.
[Here's me in my robe! Ready to head into the hot springs!]
We got there around 2:30pm and waited till tea time at 4:00pm to get cookies and tea before taking a soak in the hot spring pools. It’s very weird for me to see people walking around the hotel wearing robes. It was really cold at night so after we hung up our robes, we quickly got into one of the outdoor pools. The first one was the family pool and the water wasn’t even hot for me so we got up and tip toed our way to the adult pool where the water was much warmer. Still it wasn’t warm enough. After about 20 minutes we went to look for the indoor pool.
The indoor pool was next to the spa. It was very very nice and really hot. I couldn’t stay in there for more than 10 minutes unless I only keep my legs in the water. There’s also a small swimming pool next to it. The water is a lot cooler thought. Maybe it’s because I just got out from the hot water so everything else seems cold?
Since it’s the holidays, they had a lot of Christmas trees on display. They all have very interesting ornaments on them.
[Trying to stay warm by hugging this tree...]
[One of the cute ornaments.]
[I think Al's trying to attack this bear...]
