that's true, i have no idea what causes all the other cancers so i wouldn't be surprised if the chances of getting lung cancer are just as high as getting the other cancers even if you don't smoke. but i mean, people who smoke or sit in second hand smoke all day are just begging for lung cancer. i just find it ridiculous how even with all the education about how addictive and harmful smoking is people would even decide to start.

Omg MM! Where have you been hiding! Anyways, what I found interesting is that I've met so many people who have this idea that since they don't smoke, they won't get lung cancer. I don't know where this idea is from. I mean what about second hand smoke? What about carcinogens in the air?

It's one thing to educate people about the risk of smoking and lung disease, but another for them to stop doing it.

"Interestingly, lung cancer still leads as the number one cause of cancer death in both men and women."

not really! how many people do you see smoking? i'm pretty sure at least half of my coworkers do, and the majority of those people are under 21. pretty ridiculous if you consider all the money that's been spent educating people on the consequences of smoking. i hope you don't smoke!
