Jan-chan’s Tidbits

I’m so glad it’s Friday. Work had been getting crazy with a lot of promotions  and campaigns going on for the month of May. I’m starting to enjoy going to the gym (I still don’t like doing the abs exercises) since it gets my mind off work. Plus the gym is right by the pool and some of the lifeguards there are pretty cute. Bonus!

A couple of posts ago I mentioned that I had this web project in mind. In a nut shell, it is about my wedding planning experience. I’ve done a lot of research and have found that some of the stuff I wanted to look for are not really easy to come by on the web. So this is how this whole idea got started. Over the past week I’ve been trying to generate content in preparation for the launch. The hard part is actually writing about stuff that are different from what is already out there. Hopefully the website will be useful for other bride/groom-to-be. At the very least, I know my cousin will enjoy reading it as she had already asked lots of questions about the wedding.

As I’m writing this I’m devouring my 5th piece of pizza (we had pizza lunch today at work). FIFTH!?! I can’t believe I can stuff this much pizza into my stomach. Working out had gave me a bigger appetite. I’ve been eatting more and actually had gained weight o_o But interestingly enough, I don’t look like I’ve gained much though and my tummy doesn’t even balloon up as much as before after I ate. *thumbs up*

Finally, an update on my physical exam from last Saturday. After the blood test and a physical exam my doctor said I’m 100% healthy! However, the rashes are still around. They look like blemish spots all over my back and legs. The scary part is that the rash areas are all dried out and some of the skin is flaking. Oh and some how I got bitten by a mysterious bug and got 2 bites near my waist which are itching like mad right now. Mysterious bug you asked? Well it’s because I started to itch and found the bite marks at Al’s place. It wasn’t there before I got to his house so I couldn’t have got it from work or on the bus. He claimed there aren’t any bugs around because if there are, it would bite him and his family also. Apparently none of them got bitten so it must’ve been me imagining the bug…

So last week I went to the gym to get an orientation on how to use the machines. The trainer (or staff as they call him) was nice enough to work out a routine for me and Al. I told him I wanted to shape up since I’ve been a chair potato after I graduated from university. Plus I mentioned that I’m getting married next year. Once he heard that he was grinning, “Oh you’re one of those…” So I guess I’ve just joined the many other “must get fit and slim down” bride to be. Continue reading »

Post-Winter Syndrom

So after pigging out during Christmast, New Year and Chinese New Year, the weight of the food finally started to sink in. Yes, my stomach is a bit…behind in schedule. I used to not eat the skin from the roasted pork but I’ve been doing that and now I sort of regret it (but they tasted sooooo gooooood). Also, since summer is coming and Al’s been bugging me to get a swimsuit (he bugs me like every summer but I never got one, haha), I think it’s time to slim down a bit. Continue reading »
